Ninth annual Sculpture in the Garden exhibition at University of Leicester: expressions of interest invited
Sculptors are invited to submit expressions of interest for Heart, Head and Hands, to take place at the Harold Martin Botanic Garden at the University of Leicester from June to October 2010.
This will be the ninth year the University of Leicester has hosted this major sculpture show, which encompasses a diverse collection of sculpture in a variety of materials, scale and design. The unique Botanic Garden provides a striking setting of large open green spaces, rockeries, trees, flower beds and a pool area to animate both sculptor and the visitor.
The exhibition takes the theme of Heart, Head and Hands and will be curated by sculptor John Sydney Carter FRBS. It will feature new sculptures by some of the most renowned international, national and regional sculptors in the country.
The exhibition is being managed by The Richard Attenborough Centre, the University of Leicester’s arts centre. You can find out about last year’s sculpture exhibition at www.le.ac.uk/racentre
If you wish to be considered for the 2010 exhibition, which will be taking place from Saturday 26 June to October 2010, please supply up to 10 images (no more than 300dpi), a CV detailing your experience, an artist’s statement, and an indication of the size(s) of your work if possible.
